then 15 minutes later we arrived at the high school and there was Katie sitting on the front steps waiting for me reading a book. “ there you are I was wondering where you were!” she said as she put down her book down and stood up to greet us “yeah we were running a little late we lost track of time while tacking the horses” I said as we climbed the stairs to the entrance of the school “well I’ll see you girls later I’m going to meet some of the guys and hangout for a little bit before homeroom” Jason said then He said as he trotted off “ ok meet me back at the truck at the end of the day if you want a ride back to the ranch” I yelled back at him, “so are we still on for tomorrow?” Katie asked as we pushed through the doors of the school “ ah yeah there’s no way we’re not having it” I said “ sweet I can’t do you have all stuff we need?” Katie asked “ mostly I have to get some things at the store later who are you riding?” I asked “Loco like always!” Loco is high strung dun Arabian that’s the biggest pain in the butt ever but man can he run fast. “ok are you sure?” “yeah I’m sure” “ok” I said as I closed my locker door. “well look at who it is it’s jessie the “cowgirl” dressed in her rags like always”
“go away Maya” I said through clenched teeth and fists tightly balled I felt Katie put her hand on my shoulder “ are you still driving around in that beat up rust bucket?” Maya asked “leave Jessa alone what did she ever do to you?” asked Katie “pipe down brat” Maya hissed back at her “ stop talking and go away before I go get the principal” I said and started to walk away “ fine little brat I’ll but there’s nothing you can do about it outside of the school” “ just keep walking away” Katie told me “ I tell ya one day I’m gonna slug her right in the noise and mess up her ugly face even more than it already is” I said fists still balled “ that's one time I won’t hold you back” Katie said with a huge grin on her face. and we both started to laugh “ oh thank God it’s Friday” I said still laughing.
after school was done me and Jason went to the store and then back to the ranch “ I heard you got into another fight with Maya today” Jason said I gripped the steering wheel so tight that my knuckles turned white, “ it wasn’t really a fight she was just trying to make me mad that’s all” I said as I turned into the driveway of the ranch “oh” He said as I pulled over to greet Rebel “ hey girl how are you? you look wet did Taylor give you a bath today?” “ come Rebel I’ll beat you too the house” and she took of running down the running strip “wow your horse is awesome it’s like she can understand you!!!” he said as I parked the truck and got out “ yeah when she was born we connected instantly it was like I could read her thoughts and I told my dad and he let me keep her and I started to train her and we connected even more”. After Matt, Taylor, and Jason went home and I went to unsaddle Rebel but my dad stopped me and said “ if I were you i wouldn’t unsaddle her yet because someone special is coming over for dinner” “ who?” I asked while closing the door to Rebel’s stall “ Brad and his family, keep my horse saddled for him, I thought you guys might want to go riding after dinner”
